For recording artists

Make the song yours.

If you think a song fits your voice or direction, please treat the current demo as a sketch rather than a prescription. We can discuss changing any aspect of the song, such as key, tempo, length, arrangement, instrumentation or lyrics.

We'll agree on recording and release terms before use. Obviously, listening to a demo does not grant recording, distribution or synchronization rights.

For songwriters, vocalists and producers

Write something that neither of us would make alone.

I am also interested in serious co-writing relationships, where we collaborate on all aspects. I can bring melody, lyrics, chord progressions, song structure and concepts, and I am comfortable starting from either a fragment or a nearly complete song. I am probably stronger on the music than the lyrics.

01

Co-writing

Developing a song jointly from concept through final lyric, melody and structure.

02

Artists and vocalists

Writing new material around a distinctive voice, perspective or existing artistic direction.

03

Producers

Pairing completed or developing songs with a producer who can shape a compelling final record.

About

Hans Granqvist

Hello! I am based in San Jose, CA. I focus on memorable melody, natural lyrical cadence and choruses that work hard to earn their reps :).

My catalog crosses several styles, but try to consistently deliver complete songs designed to survive beyond a particular demo arrangement. I write both independently and with collaborators.

I am an ASCAP-affiliated songwriter and all compositions are published by Firtwig Records, ASCAP, unless otherwise indicated.
